Festive Fragrance and Wintery Wines: an Experience
During this class, we will be:
• Tasting pours of 5 seasonally-curated wines
• Sampling five aroma chemicals/aromatic compounds, each paired with a respective wine.
• Discovering five seasonally-curated fragrances (paired with respective wine and aroma chemicals.)
• Analyzing different aromatic organic materials in scent training tins.
• Experiencing flavor/food pairings.
• Evaluating the aromatic sensory experience of paired organic material, aroma chemical, fragrance, flavor, and wine.
• Learning about the science of scent reception and techniques to enhance the sensory experience of fragrance and wine sampling.
• Delving into the aroma chemistry of winemaking and perfumery.
