TREND IDENTIFICATION: HOW TO SPOT EMERGING TRENDS

New trends form rapidly as consumers’ needs, appetites, and interests evolve. To be proactive instead of reactive to the changing consumer, brands and services need to recognize patterns across industries and identify trends, which are ripe to cross categories and product platforms. This means having a breadth of product knowledge that spans beyond your specific market as well as the importance of looking at neighboring related and unrelated markets, some of which may seem irrelevant. This introductory course will provide insights on how to identify trends and patterns with a focus on fragrance and flavor ingredients. Participants will be introduced to the crossover of ingredients, have a heightened awareness, and be better equipped to be proactive.
