Karen Dubin is the founder and CEO of Sniffapalooza, the international event-based organization for fragrance enthusiasts. The philosophy of Sniffapalooza is that fragrance is celebrated as an art, and perfumers are artists.

Ms. Dubin created Sniffapalooza in 2002 because she wanted to meet other kindred spirits who appreciated fragrance as much as she did, and now she has 500,000 friends to talk to about perfume! With the partnership of Karen Adams in 2004, Sniffapalooza has become a home for fragrance lovers, and a muse and a powerful marketing tool for the fragrance industry. Today Sniffapalooza is the largest live-experience fragrance group on the planet.

Ms. Dubin lives in New York City, where she had an illustrious career in advertising for several years.  She decided to follow her passion and utililize her life experience in the olfactory world, and now works as a creative consultant to several fragrance companies and as a fragrance writer for brands, raw materials houses and industry publications. Additionally, she is a consumer insight expert,  a retail sales specialist and trainer for luxury fragrance and lifestyle brands,  and is the Personal Fragrance Specialist & Curator for Beautyhabit.com, the e-commerce shop specializing in artisanal and niche beauty and fragrance products.

She was the 2013 recipient of CEW’s ‘Great Idea in Fragrance Innovation’ Award, presented by IFF, for ‘starting a movement’. Ms. Dubin is one of the featured judges in Women’s Wear Daily’s popular series, ‘The Smell Test’, has been a judge at The Fragrance Foundation Awards and The Perfumed Plume Awards, and is a founding team member of Perfumarie, the multi-sensory experiential incubator and discovery lab in Soho, NYC.
