Muguet, or lily of the valley, is one of perfumery’s most iconic and technically challenging floral accords. Celebrated for its luminous freshness, dewy green character, and delicate floral elegance, muguet has long been associated with spring, renewal, and purity. Yet, like lilac, lily of the valley cannot be extracted naturally for use in perfumery, making it a quintessential perfumer’s flower—one that must be skillfully recreated through accord construction.

In this module, participants will explore the fascinating architecture of the muguet accord and discover how generations of perfumers have used both classic and modern materials to capture the scent of these tiny white bells.
