Last updated: October 1st 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how Fragrance Alliance Network ("FAN," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you visit fragrancealliancenetwork.com (the "Site"), register for a class, workshop, consultation, or event, buy a recording or gift card, or otherwise communicate with us (collectively, the "Services"). Fragrance Alliance Network is a d/b/a of Gustavo Design Inc. "You" means anyone whose information we collect, whether a student, customer, or site visitor.
By using the Services, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Our merchandise store at fragrance-alliance-network-shop.fourthwall.com is operated by Fourthwall. Purchases there are covered by Fourthwall's privacy policy, not this one.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised policy on the Site, update the "Last updated" date, and take any other steps required by law.
What personal information we collect
"Personal information" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can be associated with you. Over the past 12 months, we have collected the following.
Information you give us
- Contact details: name, email, phone number, and address.
- Registration and order information: the classes, recordings, consultations, or gift cards you buy, your billing address, and payment confirmation.
- Account information, if you create one: username, password, and security details.
- Class-related information: allergies, skin sensitivities, or other health details you choose to share so we can run a class safely. We use this only for that purpose and only with your consent.
- Reviews and submissions: reviews, comments, and anything else you post or send us, with your name or initials as you choose to display them.
- Customer support information: whatever you include when you email or message us.
You can choose not to provide some information, but certain features, such as class registration, may then be unavailable.
Information we collect automatically
When you use the Site, we and our partners use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies ("Cookies") to collect device and browser information, network connection details, IP address, and how you interact with the Site and our emails ("Usage Data").
Information from third parties
- Shopify, which powers our Site and checkout.
- Payment processors (including PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay), which collect payment details to complete your purchase. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Advertising and analytics partners, such as Meta, which collect information through online tracking technologies when you visit the Site, open our emails, or interact with our ads.
We treat information from third parties according to this policy.
How we use your personal information
- Providing our Services: processing registrations and payments, sending confirmations, class details, reminders, and links for online sessions and recordings, managing your account, and handling gift cards. Shopify may match your account with other Shopify services you choose to use, under its own Privacy Policy and Consumer Privacy Policy.
- Running classes safely: sharing your name, and any allergy or sensitivity notes you provide, with the instructor leading your class.
- Marketing and advertising: sending newsletters and class announcements by email, and showing you ads on our Site and other websites. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Security and fraud prevention: detecting and acting on fraudulent, illegal, or malicious activity. If you have an account, keep your login details private and contact us right away if you think it has been compromised.
- Support and improvement: answering questions, responding to feedback and reviews, and improving our classes and Site.
- Legal reasons: complying with legal obligations, enforcing our Terms of Use, and protecting the Services, our rights, and the rights of our students and others.
Cookies
We use Cookies to run the Site (for example, keeping your cart working), remember your preferences, measure traffic, and understand how visitors use the Services. We also let third-party partners use Cookies on our Site to tailor advertising on our Site and other websites. For details on the Cookies Shopify uses, see shopify.com/legal/cookies.
You can remove or block Cookies through your browser settings or the cookie banner on our Site. Blocking Cookies may stop some features, including checkout, from working, and may not completely stop information sharing with our advertising partners.
Global Privacy Control. Our Site recognizes the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends it, we treat it as a request to opt out of sharing and targeted advertising for that browser or device, and for any linked Shopify account. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org. We do not respond to other "Do Not Track" signals.

- Appeal: if we decline your request, reply to our decision to appeal it.
- Marketing emails: unsubscribe using the link in any email. We may still send messages about your registrations and purchases.
To make a request, email info@fragrancealliancenetwork.com. We may need to verify your identity, for example with your email address, before responding. You may use an authorized agent; we will ask for proof that you authorized them and may need to verify your identity directly. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights, and we will respond within the time the law requires.

We are based in the United States, and we and our service providers may store and process your information in the U.S. and other countries. When we transfer personal information out of Europe or the UK, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK equivalent, unless the destination country has been found to provide adequate protection.
