Through discussion we’ll explore:

• How GC helps identify and separate aromatic compounds
• What mass spectrometry can reveal about complex mixtures
• How GC can aid in constructing, deconstructing, and fine-tuning fragrances
• Applications like consumer product extractions and enantiomeric analysis (why two mirror-image molecules can smell completely different)

We’ll also look at how GC connects to creative work—especially when balancing essential oils or analyzing a finished fragrance.
